Lighthouse Roasters – 400 North 43 rd Ave., Seattle

Every once in awhile bigger just isn't better and such is the case at Lighthouse Roasters. Focusing on coffee done right, this unique little coffeehouse hand roasts its fresh, premium beans in small batches each day. You can get their great tasting coffee right at home when you sign up for their “coffee of the month.”

You can't talk coffee in Seattle without talking about one of Seattle 's most famous coffeehouses. Serving up espresso drinks, drip coffee and a whole menu of other items, if you want something you know, find a Starbucks.

Bring a picnic and watch both larger commercial vessels and smaller pleasure boats go through the locks. During the summer, watch the Salmon make their way up the ladder. Watch the water closely and you're sure to see many fish jumping.

Snoqualmie Falls – 6501 Railroad Ave. , Snoqualmie

The view from the top is nothing short of awesome and if you're brave enough to hike the steep, crowded path to the bottom your sure to be left breathless. Be prepared for a large crowd though as this is a premier tourist spot.
